May and June Brides

In the 9 years that Amour Affairs has been coordinating weddings and events –  we have seen a slight change in the favorite month for weddings – at least in the Bahamas.

There was a time when June was considered the month for weddings.  Many centuries ago – this was because May was the month that most people had a bath.  So in June – they still smelt pretty good and it was a good time to gather. That seems like a great reason to me.

In my initial years in business May was the busiest month.   Now I find April and June can be equally requested – and later in the year it would be November.   I certainly would not try to explain the change – but these are popular months for a destination wedding in the Bahamas.  So keep this in mind when you are planning your Bahamas Destination Wedding and let “Amour Affairs” help you with your dream
